First of all, can we get to know you?
Tuncay Kaya. I am the founder and General Manager of Ofistim Furniture Design firm.

Can you tell us about your business adventure?
I have had many years of experience in office furniture, starting from sales to management. I dreamed of using these experiences by establishing my own company. One day, with my childhood friend, my dear friend Seyfullah Kara, we said “it’s time” and established the Office of My Furniture Design Company. As two partners, we have built our company considering the expectations of the industry. I think that our commercial experience and honesty were effective in making our company one of the leading and reliable companies in the sector in a short time. We have achieved very good projects in a short time. In this process, our biggest supporters were our families and friends who trusted us.

How did you find success in the business world?
I grew up in a low-income family and my childhood passed with very limited opportunities. I think this is the main source of my success and determination in the business world… Let me tell you what my first money making experience was like. Those in the 90s generation know. I was in the second grade of elementary school when hand tetris was launched. My family didn’t have the power to buy me tetris. I cried for days, and I wanted to have a tetris. I have an uncle five years older than me, he told me there was a way to get that tetris. The next morning came, the weather was not yet light. We went to the simit oven with a round tray in our hands. And with the money of that time, we bought approximately 20 TL of bagels. He said that I would sell these bagels and make 40 TL, then pay the 20 TL he gave me and buy the bagels with my own capital the next day and sell them again, and with the profit I made, I could buy hand tetris. This is where I think my business life started. Because from then on I never stopped working, sold water in markets, worked as an apprentice in furniture workshops in Siteler. I have always worked throughout my school life. I got everything I have by struggling myself and I am very happy about it. I would like to give advice to families with children regardless of their financial situation. Teach your kids how to make money and value money. Understanding the value of money and the value of owning things is very important in shaping their lives …

The most basic principle adopted by my office is honesty. We stand behind everything we do and we are proud of it.

What are your priorities when designing an office?
It is very important for us to evaluate the customer’s demand correctly and to be able to present the design according to the demand with maximum quality and reasonable price to the customer on time. An office bearing the signature of My Office should be able to reveal its difference with its noticeable quality at first sight. When we look back, we have to make sure we are doing a good job, we must be comfortable knowing that we are doing the right thing. Each project we complete is a reference for new projects; We act diligently and meticulously in all processes for each of our projects. All this is directly reflected in customer satisfaction. Our company’s motto was “Let’s Dream Together.” We love to dream together with our customers and to realize this dream together.

What kind of products do you offer to your customers?
Ofistim Furniture Design is active in the fields of project, decoration, office furniture, hospital furniture, hotel furniture and school furniture. We produce and sell meeting tables, benches, cabinets, study groups, school groups, hotel groups, panels, VIP office chairs, sofas, coffee tables, beds, educational products, metal products, compact archive systems, computer tables.

What is the most important feature that distinguishes Ofistim from other companies in its sector?
The most basic principle adopted by my office is honesty. We stand behind everything we do and we are proud of it. Our first priority is customer satisfaction, and prioritizing customer satisfaction has always had high returns for us. Interior architects of Ofistim Furniture Design have a great role in the projects we have completed. Because we are going to practice before then we shed our customers with the best visual dreams architect of Turkey. At this point, I would like to express my gratitude to our teammates in our project department and our dignified interior designers.

What are the goals and objectives of your company?
First of all, we want to maintain our domestic success chart. We must constantly renew ourselves, because we are in a very dynamic industry. For this reason, we have made solid preparations for 2019. Recently, we are focusing on the goal of becoming an effective player in the international market. Our work in this direction continues intensively.

What do you think the future offices will be like? In what direction can changes be experienced?
I think functional furniture and ergonomic designs will come to the fore.

The most important rule in office projects is to create an efficient working environment. What do you promise to your customers in this regard?
Of course. When our customer comes to us with this natural demand, we present preliminary drawings that show how they can evaluate their current working environments most efficiently, so we offer the necessary alternatives to choose the model that they feel most comfortable with. No result can be a surprise in our working model because with preliminary drawings, the customer knows in advance what will be encountered.
